Angry Birds Sequel Will Reveal Pigs' Point Of View

Angry Birds, the massively popular mobile gaming app developed by Rovio Mobile, has a bright future ahead of it.

Pocket Gamer reports that Rovio CEO Peter Vesterbacka took the stage at the recent Virtual Goods Summit in London to give the world a sneak peek at the franchise's coming attractions.

First, Vesterbacka reportedly told the crowd that Angry Birds will be available on major gaming platforms such as PSN, Xbox and Wii, according to Twitter user Alice Taylor, who attended the conference.

Vesterbacka then said that an Angry Birds sequel would not be all about birds. "We want to surprise people. No one has told the story from the pigs' point of view," he said, according to Twitter user David Selle.

Vesterbacka also hinted that Rovio is exploring multiplayer options, as well as a Facebook version of the game.

Rovio's big plans for the franchise aim to make Angry Birds "bigger than Tetris," writes TUAW. (h/t Pocket-lint)
