8 Canceled TV Shows Betty White Could Have Saved (PICTURES)

Television shows get canceled for many different reasons, from low ratings to high production costs. But if there's one thing we've learned over the last year, it's that you can't go wrong by sticking Betty White in a TV show or movie. Guest spots on "SNL," "30 Rock," "Community" and a multitude of others have demonstrated that anything that Betty White touches turns to gold.

A handful of shows in the 2010-11 season have already been canceled, and guess what they all have in common? No Betty White. Maybe the "Golden Girls" star would have saved them from cancellation. Here's a look at what some of those canceled shows would have looked like if Ms. White had extended her benevolent presence.

Betty White should have been in a lot of good shows too. She would have been hilarious in Freaks & Geeks or Undeclared.

Ok network TV has got to give some shows some time to grow. the last couple of years has been one season or half season shows.That means years of investments in shows that will never be syndicated. Friends, MASH, Three's Company, Law & Order, all still raking in the money. Dollhouse, Bionic Woman, Life, Maybe a few dvd sales and then that will dry up.

BRING BACK "That Was The Week That Was"! FAR more intelligent than "Saturday Night Live",
it was topical, and straight-to-the-target....ALL of it, just like the OPENING skit on "Saturday Nighr Live" SOMETIMES is. Betty White would be a TREASURE on the New TWTWTW! I bet she'd even WRITE some of those intelligent, satirical sketches....if only they'd bring the show, (also called "TW3"), back!

Yes, YES! Oh, HOW I wish that Betty White had appeared on, (and Saved!!!!!), my own favourite TV show of All time! She could have appeared as "George's" long-lost, slightly excentric, but always loving and wise mother, on ALIEN NATION --THE SERIES!

Lone Star wasn't canceled because it didn't have Betty White, it was canceled because it had Jon Voigt.

I'm pretty sure the point of this article was *new* TV shows that didn't even get one season. Ugly Betty was on the air for five years.

They cancelled Rubicon? I guess it took too much intelligence in their viewers to watch it. Too bad.

Boy oh boy,Rubicon must have been really bad cause it's the only one I remember seeing the buildup for! I don't watch the regular channels only %10 of the time so if I saw Rubicon there must have been a big turnaround to have dumped it so quick? Cannot even tell you what the premise was cause that is how out of touch with prime time I have become(evolved)over the years! There is to my knowledge nothing but FLUFF television on the old standbys like N.B.C.,A.B.C.,C.B.S.? Hey if anyone has watched a show that is not A-team stupid in it's utter stupidity,please drop me a reply? I'll give it a shot otherwise no channels under the 245 mark on my Direct Tv! That new H.B.O. show Empire Boardwalk with Steve Buscemi is my current favorite. Waiting patiently for True Blood to return and by the way,Praying fervently that it has not jumped the shark like the fonz did? Feel free to enlighten me if any of you have seen anything brighter than a firefly on ordinary tv?

I am still upset that they took "Boston Legal" off the air. "Dancing with the Has Beens" should have been cancelled a long time ago.
