Olbermann: Rockefeller Told Me He Loves My MSNBC Show (VIDEO)

Keitholbermann

Keith Olbermann tried to set Senator Jay Rockefeller straight in the first "Worst Persons In The World" segment since he suspended it three weeks ago.

The segment has, for now, been renamed into the "(Not Really) Worst Persons In The World" segment. Olbermann gave Rockefeller, longtime Democratic Senator from West Virginia, the "(Not Really) Bronze" for his statement that he sometimes wants the FCC to "end" MSNBC and Fox News to because it would help the country's political discourse.

Olbermann noted, that Rockefeller has told him personally that he is a fan of "Countdown."

"Senator Rockefeller has repeatedly volunteered to me that he is a devoted viewer of this program," he said, before adding, "we're on MSNBC, Senator!" in a stage whisper.

Olbermann also pointed out that Rockefeller should know that the FCC has no authority over cable channels, since he is a member of the committee which oversees the communications industry.

There is no Republican party or Democratic party. The elites such as Rockefeller run everything and call all the shots. The only reason for the two party system is to give the American people the illusion of a voting republic and the ability to affect change.Research: New world Order, One World Government, G-20, world currency, rfid chips, false-flag attacks, IMF, Federal Reserve, Bohemian Grove, Global Warming, police-state, death of the dollar, 1930's confiscation of all citizen's gold, FEMA, PATRIOT ACT, TSA Molesting Children.

"Rockefeller should know that the FCC has no authority over cable channels, since he is a member of the committee which oversees the communications industry." Just goes to show these guys don't have a clue about their duties or the task of the committees they belong to.

Jay bad mouths MSNBC but had no problem going on all the shows when he had a point to make about something. I know I watched him over the past several years. What a damn hypocrite. If he was against the network then why did he agree to go on over and over again?

Jay is just playing the usual "equal and opposite" mime. If Faux Spews does something appalling, misleading, and fraudulent, then there MUST be something on the liberal side that is equal and opposite. This is done deliberately by the right to distract people from what they are doing -- fraudulent reporting. Shame on Jay for falling into this right wing argument. It is not equal and opposite. There is actual reporting on MSNBC-- some darn good reporting in fact. And they don't pretend to be "fair and balanced" like Faux. Think before you speak, Jay!

Not at all surprising. Seems to me the neo-conservative who can actually comprehend that his ideas or actions or opinions have far-reaching, and usually un-considered repercussions are becoming an extremely rare breed.

Its a shame Jay didnt include ALL tv political shows! Every show that includes commentary has an axe to grind!!! Are we talking "news" or "commentary"? My "biased" opiniion is that you need to listen to/watch as amny different sources as possible to get the "news"--only because each operation will emphasize different stories in their limited time.

When it goes to "commentary" each network/show/station has a bias--and these are not well camoflouged [?spelling?]!! Listen/watch as much as you can!

As for Sen Jay--let's not forget he is NOT an un biased observer--so his views can be discounted and discarded! How are they biased?

"Although being a good political wife was important to her, she knew her life’s work would be to advance public broadcasting. Soon after, Rockefeller began a 12-year term on the board of directors for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, including four-years as chairman. She has led WETA since 1989. "(source:http://trulyamazingwomen.blogspot.com/2008/06/sharon-rockefeller-on-importance-of.html).

GEE...you think jay has an agenda??

I think the point Olbermann is trying to make is; If you have a problem with Fox News then go after Fox News, stop trying to hide behind the broader 'Cable News' moniker .

Why don't democrats grow a spine and stop trying to protect themselves from Fox's scorn

Great job Mr. Olbermann for exposing liars.

Rockefeller seems like a very very scary guy. His pseudo-Christian unAmerican agenda is very scary for America and freedom of speech. Shame on the Democratic party for calling this person a Democrat.

If the Senator wants to get RID of the bias then he is in a position to do so. If each journalist would simply indicate how they are registered to vote we could let the audience decide for themselves
on the level of objectivity in the media.

Rockefeller seems like a pretty dangerous double-face person with some agenda that does seem unAmerican. Rockefeller and some of his blue dog buddies are not helping the Democratic party.

Do you recall the Rockefeller/Cheney FISA bill passed by the Senate

Some people "are" smarter than 5th graders Mr. Rockefeller, so please don't patronize us like we're "all" a bunch of dummies. Most of us "can" tell the difference between Fox and MSNBC you know!

So, please stop trying to tell us who we should or should not be listening to. We are grown and can make our own decisions thank you. And thanks Keith for telling him like it is from your aspect :).
