Perez Hilton's Bizarre Interview With Rod Blagojevich (VIDEO)

WATCH: Perez Hilton's Bizarre Interview With Blago

Rod Blagojevich is quite the pitchman.

First, he convinced Illinois voters to elect him twice--despite a pending investigation. Now, he has become quite adept at promoting pistachios. The convicted former governor of Illinois was hired for a Wonderful Pistachios commercial, and even when the advertisement wrapped--he was singing the nut's praises.

In an interview with gossip blogger Perez Hilton, Blagojevich credited pistachios for his healthy head of hair, and explained the commercial's concept.

"I'm sitting at a desk and there is...apparently a brief case that is slid in front of me, and I kind of look at it, as if there is something in there that I really covet," Blagojevich tells Hilton before turning to the camera. "I guess the implication is that there's cash in there. But I would never take anything that I wasn't entitled to."

Always taking the opportunity to proclaim his innocence, Blagojevich told Hilton he was "pleased" that the ad's narrator says: "Rod Blagojevich does it innocently."

"The contents in the suitcase are like the accusations against me--they're nuts," Blagojevich said in a press release. "I'd been eating these pistachios and enjoying them well before they asked me to do a commercial."
