Terrell Owens Says Critics 'Can Go Pound Sand'

T.O. Lashes Out At Critics

After being criticized for not giving enough effort in Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Bengals receiver Terrell Owens fired back at his critics.

"People that say I have a lack of effort, they can go pound sand," Owens reportedly said. "There's nothing that's been a lack of effort on my part. For someone to say that, then they don't know me very well. I take offense to it because that's not how I play."

After Sunday's game, Owens admitted that a Carson Palmer interception was his fault because he didn't come out of his break at "full speed."

Dan Dierdorf of CBS called Owens' effort to get back to the line of scrimmage after a sack while time was running out "pathetic."

Owens has recorded 59 receptions for 834 yards and seven touchdowns.
