Richard Seymour PUNCH VIDEO: Raider Punches Ben Roethlisberger, Gets Ejected

PITTSBURGH — Raiders defensive end Richard Seymour has been ejected for an openhanded punch to Ben Roethlisberger's face as the Steelers quarterback was celebrating a touchdown pass.

After completing the 22-yard throw to Emmanuel Sanders, Roethlisberger jumped into the arms of tackle Flozell Adams. Roethlisberger then began walking forward and appeared to say something to Seymour, who turned and struck the quarterback in the jaw with his open right hand.

As Roethlisberger went to his back, lineman Chris Kemoeatu grabbed Seymour. Both Seymour and Kemoeatu drew penalties, but only Seymour was ejected.

Seymour also was ejected Dec. 27 for hitting Browns running back Jerome Harrison after a play was over. Seymour was fined $10,000 for that infraction.

Seymour is a class act in how he is dealing with this. It was a momentary lapse of reason in a game filled with emotion. Not saying what he did was right, but he takes the fine, moves on, and continues to be a powerful leader on the field.

Its never good to assume what happened between Ben and Seymour, haters, this is what happened down below:

Richard Seymour: The Raiders defensive end, who was ejected Sunday for decking Ben Roethlisberger with the heel of his palm, spoke briefly to the media about what made him do it. “It was a lot of ongoing (stuff), and you’re out there to protect yourself. It’s still no excuse. I’m not sure exactly what happened on the play. I just turned around, and he just ran up on me quick. It was just natural reaction.” Darn. Let's see if you can get the story straight. A group of girls follow Ben and his group from bar to bar to bar all night long. The woman in question is wearing a label that says "GTF" which stands for Good To F@#&. She is drinking in a bar as a minor and goes into the bathroom with Ben. Afterwards she tells her friends who freak out and cry rape. She then recants her story, quits school in shame and the DA is left with no witness no evidence to begin with. Then in Reno a woman has sex with Ben in his hotel room. Brags about it in emails to her girlfriends even saying she hopes she's pregnant with his child. Then 12 months later decides not to press charges but sue him for some cash. You somehow believe that constitutes two counts of rape. Hate to take you on a date....

There was a survey at some of the tv stations in Pittsburgh yesterday asking what they thought Symour's punishment should be. Funny how not one said "nothing at all." That would have been my vote!!
