Barbara Bush: Palin Should Just Stay In Alaska

Barbara Bush Palin

WASHINGTON — Former first lady Barbara Bush doesn't appear to think much of Sarah Palin's White House aspirations, saying the former Alaska governor should stick to her home state.

In an interview with CNN's Larry King scheduled for airing Monday, Mrs. Bush says she sat next to Palin once and "thought she was beautiful."

The outspoken wife of former President George H.W. Bush says Palin, who is considering a presidential run in 2012, seems "very happy in Alaska" but then adds, "I hope she'll stay there."

In an excerpt provided by CNN, both Bushes compliment their son, former President George W. Bush, on the success of his recent memoir, "Decision Points."

The former president says his son has "done a good job selling the darn thing."

Bless, Mrs Bush......If the republicans were smart they would have elected her instead of GW......She told it like it is and boy the politicians in Washington every blood sucking one of them could take some lessons from her. And the media better start following some standards of truth telling also, their fear of being called biased by Sarah, has them so afraid to step up to the plate and call her on her total lack of intellectual curiosity, ignorance and self serving disingenuous. Sarah knows they are afraid of her whining and her calling them chauvinists and biased and she plays it up like a fiddle. Someone needs to tell missy palin that is she dishes it out and she surely does, then she better dam well better be able to take it without whining so much. And if she loves term lame stream media then they should start calling her "wailin" Palin...........See how she likes that........She's a coward as well as a quitter.........

Perhaps Mrs Bush---for the sake of American and the world---will stuff Mrs Palin into a jar.

Sarah Palin just called Barbara Bush -Blue Bloods. The feud is on, The Great White Mama Grizzly took a bear paw to Baby Mama Grizzly Sarah Palin. I love this. They are feeding off of themselves like a bed bug and a host. How arrogant they all are and so above the normal American citizen.

She will only stay in Alaska if someone pays her to stay there. Her only motive is money, she would do anything for it.

I was going to say that I was amazed that intelligent parents like Barbara and George Bush could produce such a complete nincompoop like George W., but then I looked at my younger brother and thought I'd be better of keeping my mouth shut. It's refreshing to hear such candor and truth coming from ANY Republican, much less the former first lady.

barbara bush was the first lady not the president. most 1st ladies are window dressing whose job is to read books to young people. plant a tree , crack a bottle on the newest weapon of mass destruction, yes a submarine could be a weapon of mass destruction as could a battle ship. she is not a great decision maker or world wide negotiator she was married to the president and gave birth to at least one idiot. her husband and son ruined our country and she's flinging stones at other politicians? i wonder if it ever rains in the world she has created for herself

I like Barbara Bush for her comment. She is outstanding for speaking in public the thought most reasonable republicans must surely feel. I admire her gall.

I just love how these Republican family members bad mouth their candidates AFTER the election than during the election. And worse the media fawns all over it.

As European American I strongly object to her rambling about "abortion in European movie" In fact, the abortion rate in France is 35% of that in the US, in Germany it is 20% and in Netherlands it is only about 15% of the US annual abortion rate.
