Medvedev Samsung Galaxy Tab

Following in the footsteps of President Barack Obama, who admits he's addicted to his "CrackBerry," and Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, who has governed from an Apple iPad, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is also open to trying out the latest gadgets.

Medvedev tweeted a photo of Moscow's recent snowfall and wrote that the picture was taken using a Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Russia's president was not impressed with the photo quality of the Galaxy Tab's integrated camera, but appreciated the convenience of such a feature. "It's convenient, but the quality isn't great," he tweeted, followed by a ":-(" emoticon.

Medvedev recently hobnobbed with Silicon Valley celebrities like Steve Jobs and Twitter co-founders Evan Williams and Biz Stone (See photos from his visit).

Tried it in the store. Terrible device. Tragically underwhelming and criminally overpriced. I really expected someone to follow Apple's challenge with a significant reply, but this was just sad. Those who wrote good reviews have either been bought off or are hard core android fanbois. All they did with this lemon was make Steve Jobs right, which makes me even more annoyed.

The photo looks great coming from a device rather than a dedicated SLR Camera. Whats his beef?

He said the camera quality wasn't excellent, how does that make for a panning of the device?

I have to agree with the other comments. Why the need to exaggerate? He wasn't panning the device and you know it. You lose credibility when you purposely write headlines like this.

Pans is kind of a bad word choice here.  I mean, he also called it convenient, so why not have the headline praising the tablet?

Does anybody expect the built-in camera on a tablet to be as good as a standalone digital camera?  It is not as though he is saying it would have been a great picture on some other tablet camera like the camera on the iPad...oh wait, the iPad doesn't even have a camera.

Must you always insist on the hyperbolic? So many of your headlines are just way off.

The pic doesn't look that bad to me.

Is his blackberry the device through which Putin pulls his strings?

Is "pans" the appropriate word to use? How about "Medvedev tweets photo using a Samsung Galaxy Tab"?
