In his talk about the Darwinian basis for beauty, with an assist from awesome animator Andrew Park, he points out some other curios: that in landscapes, we -- everyone -- like paths that extend into the distance, inviting us to follow them. Skills of beauty also allowed practitioners 50,000 years ago to use the line "why don't you come up to my cave so I can show you my hand axes."
