Sarah Palin reportedly lobbied producers of the ABC hit show "Dancing With The Stars" on Thursday night to bring failed Tea Party-backed U.S. Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell on as a contestent to the next season of the program.

According to the entertainment website PopEater, the former Alaska governor assumed the role of "casting director" when cheering on daughter Bristol as she competed in the show's finale. Rob Shuter writes:

"Sarah is a genius at marketing herself and her message," an insider tells me. "She doesn't care about all the old rules about how political people are meant to behave and act. Sarah believes the best way is to go directly to the people -- use Twitter, Facebook, 'Dancing With the Stars' and 'Entertainment Tonight' to get potential voters excited and leave 'Meet The Press' and those boring Sunday morning shows to the old-school politicians."

An executive at ABC reportedly signaled that O'Donnell taking to the dancing floor might be an idea worth considering. The network insider also took a shot at the conservative favorite's infamous "I'm not a witch" campaign ad, which she released during her general election fight against now-Democratic Senator-elect Chris Coons.

"O'Donnell would fit right in," said the source to PopEater. "She certainly would be so controversial that the amount of press attention and buzz the show would get would be huge. Plus, you know they would make her dance in a witch's hat with a broomstick."

On Thursday night, O'Donnell blasted a tweet to her followers on Twitter to boost Bristol in the final stage of her dancing quest. She wrote, "I just voted for Bristol on DWTS! She's enduring a lot & should be proud. It's shameful the way she is being attacked. vote-800-868-3407."

Is it just me, or does anyone else here get the sheer and utter hypocrisy of this woman, to first write in her book about American Idol and how most of the contestant's parents and friends should have never built their dreams up and should have told them they have no talent, but she finds no problem with putting Bristol on that show, when the girl, is exactly like those she dissed on American Idol?  I  Read More...

Well lets hope she can dance better than Bristol Palin. She look like a big fat seal being pulled across the dance floor.

can't they find anyone with either charm or brain or both to dance with these dancers?

I seriously hope that Christine O'Donnell gets chosen for DWTS.  The song selections would be hilarious.

Now don't get me wrong;  "Mama told me not to come" as a song for Bristol was comic genius that will likely be difficult to top, but here are my suggestions for Christine:

"Witchy Woman" by the Eagles
"Black Magic Woman" by Santana
"Crazy" by Patsy Cline

and of course...

"I Touch Myself" by the Divinyls

San Francisco is short of funds for elected officials X-mas bonuses therefore they are assigning their entire $300K/year police officers to write traffic tickets instead of fighting crimes in the streets of beautiful San Francisco. The city has become a sanctuary for illegal immigrants and criminals. Meanwhile they are unwelcoming the tourists with this type of harassment.

Showing off her pull with DWTS, as if we did not get it--even with Bristol's performance. Why doesn't she hire O'Donnell to work on her Presidential run? Or better yet, to work with Bristol on the abstinence thingy?

The Republiocan Party still has no clue what happen to them in 2008. All these Republican women who represent the "New Face of the Republican Party" really amount to nothing "new." Look at them, Sarah Palin, Christine O'Donnell, Sharron Angle, Linda McMahon -- all a stereotype of a 1940's, "dizzy dame." The support they have from the GOP proves that the GOP image of a "women" running for political office has not not changed since 1940 when Gracie Allen spoofed a Presidential run as the Surprise Party candidate.

Want more proff the GOP has no clue about what happen in 2008/ The two most powerful elected officials from the GOP are still Speaker-to-be John (white man ) Boehner (R-Ohio) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch (white man) McConnell (R-Ky.).

Say "Good Night" GOP!

Yes, we certainly don't want any more of their sort (white men.) They're all racists!

I don't watch DWTS so I don't really care. But from what I heard, this past series was a joke. I think O'Donnell would just continue the joke. I might tune in if she did a number dressed as her true self (a witch!).

Do you think Sara knows that she can be found on you tube, saying Hilary Clinton should not whine about the media?

Is it me, or am I the only one who sees that Palin wants to "win" the presidency as if it's beauty pageant. It's all about being the center of attention for Palin. I can just see her now, campaigning with a sash across her chest and a tiara on her head declaring her mission..."world peace!".

All I see is a very pretty woman who knows zilch about politics but LOVES being in the spotlight and making lots of money.

I take exception to "very pretty" but agree with the rest of what you said. Pretty maybe, but not very pretty.

I believe Sarah has some witchcraft to teach to her young acolyte.

Whats the point of having all the pictures of Plain on the political page? In my opinion she has no knowledge of politics.I counted 7 pictures of her on this page....please lets move on to someone that knows N Korea is not our ally and that Africa is not a country.

Wait.... wait. O'Donnell on Dancing With the Stars? I can't believe it. You know why Christians don't make love standing up........ its too much like dancing. I thought real Christians were against the evils of writhing dance.

Palin has finally had a good idea, or actually any idea. Put O'Donnell on dancing with the stars in a
revealing witch outfit and she can dance the night away. Oh wait what about Bristol? Could be some serious competition there.
