I would like to nominate this piece of journalism for a Pulitzer award. Beautifully constructed piece.

Nice advertorial.

Ahhh yes, yet more paid "journalism" from this site.  I wonder how much Apple pays A.rianna to be a shill for their company?

On the plus side, isnt it a nice service to advertise sales and good deals to huffpost readers?
08:00 PM on 11/29/2010
Shouldn't this site be obligated to report when a story is a paid advertisement?
09:25 PM on 11/29/2010
not obligated... but a small disclaimer would raise the bar by a whole lot.

This is just the latest obnoxious bit of drivel created by the loathsome media, always on the lookout for something artificial to put where the news ought to be. This past weekend I heard a local TV newsfool refer to the "long black-friday weekend." That would be Thanksgiving, numbnuts.

We need to ditch the phrase "Cyber Monday" since "cyber" went out of style roughly ten years ago. While we're at it let's put "epic fail" to rest also.

I heard they're having an amazing 5% discount on Apple II's. Cyber Monday only, of course.

That's a sale? Ha ha. Good joke.
03:53 PM on 11/29/2010
These deals are joke. It's better to buy during summer where you will get free iPod touch and $100 off on Mac
04:11 PM on 11/29/2010
What do the back to school buy a mac deals have to do with discounted accessories?

How could you waste 9 more months of your life by living without a Mac?

The only thing holding back Apple's dominance of the smart phone market is AT&T. I am one of many AT&T customers holding out for Verizon to announce the iPhone: http://vaishwords.blogspot.com/2010/11/rethinking-possible-with-at-wireless.html

The über-rich thank you for your generosity...

Wrong: the HTC EVO is the much better phone and is doing a great job holding back Apple. Apples will always appeal to folks who couldn't be bothered with learning their tools (e.g., buying an automatic, rather than a stick-shift car). That's fine, but will never be a criterium for dominance.
07:55 PM on 11/29/2010
Flaven THANK GOD you said that, because I bought an EVO on impulse during a visit to a SPRINT store.
08:52 PM on 11/29/2010
The T-Mobile MyTouch 4 and G2 blows the doors off of both of those phones.

Some people do love Apple stuff. I know several folks who cannot help but keep buying Apple accessories. I mean, iPhone/iPad/iPod all serve some pretty good functions but still...

I am one of those who have moved almost all buying activities online instead of driving around and waiting in line. It seems strange that Monday is the busiest day though, since more people have to work on weekdays. I would think that weekends would be busier.

Maybe I am relatively geeky, but I love online shopping. You have the chance to do some research before buying very easily so you actually know what you are buying instead of impulse purchases. Not having to drive around is always good too - save on sales tax, gas ,and time. Online deals are often better than brick and mortar deals anyway.

One of the main sites I visit a few times a day for checking out the best deals around is:
http://www.uberi.com/

You get an idea of the best deals out there at any moment and it's become a routine of mine to just take a look of that site a couple of times a day. In addition to the deals they have, I would suggest checking out Uberi's Amazon Discount Table and especially the Amazon Free Shipping Filler, which is extremely useful.

Another advertisement masquerading as an article.  H P's love affair with Apple has severely tainted the quality of this Tech section.

Is this news? Or is this yet another FREE advertisement by the media for Apple? In my book, folks, NOT news. Move along and stop wasting our time.

Maybe it's not so free.
