Labeling the day 'cyber monday' is cynical marketing. Succumbing to this latest sad faddish 'tradition' and enshrining it by adopting this latest consumerism behavior should be shunned.

The economy sucks. The prices are gonna drop big time mid Dec. Especially, if the unemployment benefits don't get extended.

No expensive electronics for us - too poor. Our computers are about 10 years old each and our television is older than any of our children - about 28 years old. But we haven't watched any television in over 17 years - so that doesn't matter. All we watch is videos and DVDs.

Are you kidding me that I got up early to get the LCD off of Wal Mart to find out that they had already raised the price? Luckily, Target has a similar style. GlowShopper.com still has 80% off on the gift card, but they only let you buy one. I heard that Sears has a gift card deal later this week.

The TV was the only worthwhile thing on that list, and it's not as much of a deal as it's being touted as.

The reality is this year's Black Friday and Cyber Monday were super weak compared to years past.  Ironic that turnout was subsequently higher for it than last year.

I went out on Friday and everything I was looking for was sold out. Just for kicks, I went out Sunday and everything was restocked. I expect this year to have major return rates. Many of the tech items I saw being sold were to folks that weren't getting what they thought they were.
