Forbes:

Early next year, Julian Assange says, a major American bank will suddenly find itself turned inside out. Tens of thousands of its internal documents will be exposed on Wikileaks.org with no polite requests for executives' response or other forewarnings. The data dump will lay bare the finance firm's secrets on the Web for every customer, every competitor, every regulator to examine and pass judgment on.

It's too late to stop this.  No doubt many are scrambling to do so but even if something were to happen to Mr. Assange, he has no doubt made sure that the information will be released regardless.

Something relatively minor like Saudi Arabia being on the record that they want the US to start a war with Iran for example.  If you've paid attention to what's going on, this isn't  Read More...

Even if they do catch Assange, which I suspect they won't, it will not stop him from releasing the data. The man's net is cast far and wide and he isn't working alone. He has plenty of support. Bringing down Wikileaks won't matter -- he'll just publish the data elsewhere. I personally think he is a hero for our times. People deserve to know the truth about how their governments and financial systems really operate.

assange good idea to try and bribe a major bank. US' policy has always been and will remain that we do not negotiate with terrorist. so yes, getting money out of those who will, may fair better for you dear.

I am pretty sure that by the time we get to the bottom of this we are going to learn that the axis of evil includes our government, the MSM and very large corporations. And I'd bet they have been working together to screw the American people for a very long time.

The real axis of evil: Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck

Axis of evil, yes but they are small potatoes to what's coming.

Making corporations a "person" and allowing the creation of centralized economy in the US.
The liberté, égalité, fraternité do not factor into the MIC. -- For the US conservatives of all stripes (especially for the neocons), the liberté, égalité, fraternité are the stinky socialism (along with the Christ teaching).

Hence the wild squeaking and rage against the open information on wikileaks…

I think Bush managed to establish that fact a long time ago.

Whats so sad is that these companies so richly deserve to be taken down, but that doing so would cause untold pain to so many.

I'm guessing that this is why there is so much talk from the government, Faux Noise, etc., about charging Mr. Assange with some crime - exposing government cables is one thing... exposing the banksters is a whole other level, at least in the US currently.

I am truly looking to this one. I wonder if the documents have anything to do with these things going on at the Justice department.

If the banks and their executive commit fraud or any other crime and Wikileaks exposes them for what/who they are, why are you against that? Will that bank crumble, maybe. Will our economy suffer, more than likely. Is it worth it in the end, absolutely. Like some have said, it will expose them and hopefully they were finally be held accountable and charged with a crime. Why would these banksters stop if there's no punishment?

I hope it's the Federal Reserve exposed. If not them, then BofA. Either way, I hope it also points a finger to the Federal Government too.
11:45 AM on 11/30/2010
I bet it's BofA.

It's not like Wikileaks and their grand goals. I've never had any desire to overturn governments or do any of these noble things that they want to do. Or jack up journalism. This was just a way to get certain kinds of documents out to the public.
