Even in the midst of the recession, environmental practices at ski resorts have been improving. That's according to a report from the Ski Area Citizens Coalition, a Colorado-based research group aligned with the Sierra Nevada Alliance and Colorado Wild.
The report analyzed 82 ski resorts across the west and found an average improvement of 2% from last year's results. The resorts are graded based on four criteria: habitat protection, protecting watersheds, addressing global climate change, and environmental policies and practices.
