Otter Attack Caught On Film In Florida (VIDEO)

Things are getting dicey in Palm Beach County, Florida, where otters have attacked people in three separate incidents, one of which was caught on tape as seen in this video from CNN.

Usually otters do not attack people unless it is a mother protecting her babies, or the animal has rabies, but it is unclear why in the video the otter came after the person filming, who ran away screaming.

Animal control officials are warning people to stay away from the otters.

I don't know if I agree with you, mahaganapati. He otter have known better. Some days, it's just one thing or an otter going wrong. Otterly hiliarious video, though. (I have a whole ton of otter-related not-so-punny things to say bc I read an erotic novel a couple months ago that featured a shapeshifter who turned into an otter. It was disturbing. But, until I saw this video, I didn't know how passionate an otter could be! If I had seen this video first, I might have enjoyed the book more.)

Otters are very aggressive..remember they've been brought back from the brink of extinction in some areas (like mine, West Coast of Canada) they are carnivores that live on seafood, and often there are babies around that you don't even see..stopping to 'film' them up close is a very bad idea.if threatened, they don't usually run, but you will...
