GalleyCat:

Jeff Waxman from Chicago's indie bookstore, 57th Street Books, has launched a Tumblr account called Against Amazon.

MobyLives has more details: "[It is] is billed as 'An online archive to educate consumers about the problems and politics of doing business with the beast.' [Waxman] tells MobyLives that the blog is a 'collaborative project' that has issued an open call for submissions to the archive at againstamazonATgmail.com."

i have decided to boycott Amazon. They give up their rights with a simple phone call. Pathetic.
They are nothing but a tool of government. Government says bend over, they ask, "Is this far enough?" Pathetic. I have no respect for them. None.

Amazon is great. If it's in print (or even out of print) you can find it there. Their prices are good, and their shipping very fast. I enjoy browsing Amazon as much as I do a bookstore...and, of course, there is so much more to find at Amazon.
