Actor Michael Cera played bass for the indie supergroup Mister Heavenly in Portland last night, rocking out at a concert at the city's Crystal Ballroom.

Mister Heavenly - made up of members of the bands Man Man, Islands and Modest Mouse - is on tour with synth pop stars Passion Pit.

Cera played a garage rocker in 'Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World' earlier this summer, but this time, there were no evil exes to battle.

That the lead character is a hardcore loser who eventually learns a lesson isn't the problem. The problem is that we're supposed to be rooting for this moron from the first minute. By thirty minutes in, I was solidly on the side of 'the World.'
