Celebrate Hannukah With A Mexican Twist

Hannukah Favorites With A Mexican Twist

There is yet another reason to be thankful that Hanukkah came early this year. Latkes (arguably one of the best holiday dishes ever) have been reinvented with a Mexican twist by Chef/Owner of Yerba Buena and Toloache, Julian Medina.

Available December 1st through the 9th, the Latkes Trio goes way beyond the traditional shredded potato and sour cream or applesauce accompaniment.

One of the latke is made with jalapeno and is served with a horseradish crema, another is made with shredded zucchini and includes a tomatillo apple salsa. The most decadent by far are the latkes that use Mexican ricotta cheese with a chipotle and agave nectar dipping sauce.

While you're there, make sure you also try the Tacos de Brisket that are braised with Negro Modelo.
