Michele Bachmann Calls For 'Insurrection' Against The GOP If Leadership Doesn't Fully Repeal Health Care Reform (VIDEO)

Michele Bachmann Insurrection

Never one to shy away from inflammatory rhetoric, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) called for an "insurrection" against the Republican party if the new class of GOP leadership -- from which she is notably absent -- doesn't successfully advance a "complete and utter" repeal of health care reform.

"If they don't, I think there needs to be an insurrection here in Washington, D.C, against our own leadership -- because that is the message that's come loud and clear out of this election: a full-scale repudiation and rejection of the federal government takeover of private industry," Bachmann said in a recent interview with CNSNews. "This is completely antithetical to American history to have the federal government take over, and run, and control and direct, and own private businesses. Our economy can not turn around if we turn away from the model of free enterprise."

Sensing some uncertainty, her interviewer asked how she felt about the Republican leadership's plans to call for an up-or-down vote on the matter.

"Well, I take them at their word," said Bachmann. "I believe the best in them, and I take them at their word when they say this is what they're going to do. But if they decide they're going to cave, or go weak in the knees, you will see members of Congress that will stand up against our leadership because we're going to stand with the people on this issue."

Bachmann later continued, saying that "repeal and replace" -- a proposal put forth in the GOP's "Pledge to America" and recently decried by the House Tea Party Caucus -- isn't sufficient, and that the only acceptable option would be "to return free markets to health care."

The fiery congresswoman has displayed her knack for controversy of this nature before, once, in 2009, calling for voters to get "armed and dangerous" in order "fight back" against President Obama's cap-and-trade climate and energy proposal. Not even a week after that she clarified, saying that what she really wanted was an "orderly revolution" against Obama's "economic Marxism."

I get so sick [pun intended] of all this health care maneuvering and argument. I have a plan that will both satisfy the GOP and Tea Party and save the country many millions of dollars. If you are against health care - don't go to a doctor. There is no need to be around or try to convert anyone who does desire health care, partially because you may have something contagious and we don't want anybody to make others sick.

So, simple rule:
- if you oppose health care, stay away from it
- if you approve of health care, see your doctor if you become sick

Wow, over a year was spent passing this into law and now the Repubs will waste another year trying to repeal it. I guess they have no new ideas on how to strengthen the economy or create jobs. Michele certainly does not.

Insurrection?
Now that Boehner appointed her to the Intelligence Committee she’ll be able to track the insurrection’s progress.

It did not take long did it?

The Repugnants kept asking, "where are the jobs" like they know how to create them. Well they don't. Instead, they will spend precious time fighting battles that will do nothing to lower the unemployment rate below 8%. The target they claim would show success.

The morale of the lesson here is, just make stuff up to create a narrative to get elected. Thereafter, enjoy yourself in a corner.

Bachman continues to work against the American people. She refuses to admist defeat and step aside. People in this position usually end up knocked over and embarrassed.

Bachmann is slowly realizing that nobody, but nobody is following her lead any more. What's the frigging megaphone for, Michelle?

The health insurance cartel will make sure the healthcare bill will be repealed, except for the mandate. As Wendell Potter recently said "Obama was played like a Stradivarius for giving the insurance industry their mandate."

Be the change you want to be,Michelle. Give up your Federal Healthcare insurance.

Free market, huh? Check it, bleed, the holy Grail ofbthe free market is the maximizing of shareholder value. That's best achieved by pricing premiums as high as people can pay but denying benefits when people need medical care. And astonishingly that's exactly what we have in this free market sh*thole of a country.

Anyone who wants healthcare subject to the race to the bottom known a the free market deserves to be horsewhipped.

What federal takeover?! When did we get single payer? When did we get national healthcare? Where in America is there a federal takeover of healthcare? What country is she talking about?! We are still the ONLY first world nation that DOESN'T have federal health care...damn conservatwit...

Watch out, you're making too much sense.

As far as I know, the only thing Obama did was create a situation where you could be fined for not having health care. He didn't make any deal to guarantee that it would be any cheaper, just gave the industry several million new customers. I'm wondering just what Bachmann's problem is, besides the fact that she doesn't know what she is talking about.

She has talking points only, no ethics , no knowledge , no morals, she is a Tea Party megaphone.... Liars and instigators like all the republicans...
