Libyan strongman Moammar Khadafy nearly axed a long-standing nuclear-disarmament deal in a fit of pique over his less-than-welcoming reception in New York City last year, according to State Department documents disclosed yesterday.
Khadafy was enraged that the NYPD refused to allow him to visit Ground Zero, and that he had been forbidden to pitch his palace-size tent anywhere in the city or suburbs when he visited for the UN General Assembly last year, the document released by WikiLeaks details.
