First Posted: 12/07/10 11:34 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 07:15 PM ET

Name: Sonja Teri
Location: Silver Lake, Los Angeles, CA
Size: 700 square feet
Years lived in: 1.5 years

Last week we previewed Sonja's Silver Lake apartment's home office and studio over at Unplggd, and now we're back with the rest of her stylish apartment for a full tour. Filled with a colorful and harmonious assortment of artwork, prints, sculptures and photographs, the quintessential Silver Lake apartment is a glamorous extension of Sonja's love of the arts.

With personal keepsakes from her grandmother mixed in with tchotckes collected over the years strewn throughout, it wasn't a surprise we left inspired to get back to decorating our own space with more art and objects to warm up our own home in similar spirit!

I'll admit, the bedroom looks awesome. There are just so many conflicting patterns throughout the rest of the apartment though, I feel like I would have trouble relaxing. Different and well-done, just not for me.

For a tiny home, it's cute. I love the blue colors in the living room.

So what do you need? Besides a miracle.

If you have followed some of my comments on other housing articles, you will notice that I always said that I would probably change the furniture and paint the walls.

THIS is the stuff I had in mind! In those other homes, you reside, in this home you live!

Not the way they designed it, but the concept behind it is right.

It amazes me that someone would comment on gentrification when they know nothing of the owners socioeconomic background. Art appreciation is not exclusive to a particular class of people. As for the comments on the sleek nature of the design. Sleek is defined as well-tailored and graceful. How could the bedroom be described as anything other then well-tailored? The grace in this design comes from the perfect balance between avant-garde art and mid-century furniture. There juxtaposition allows for each piece's beauty to be fully recognized. I applaud such bold moves undertaken with confident elegance.

Um, the word 'sleek' does not describe this home.

Quite lovely. It looks like more than 700 square ft.

I think this apartment is just so warm and inviting. The way the artwork is displayed is so unique. What a great use of space!

I'm sure there is the smell of warm animal all over the furniture and floors.

I agree. It's a beautiful apartment, and reminds me of the book, The Paris Apartment. I'd love to live this way in LA. http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTo2N5driI8t4F_LYMPZgYRu81gScrfF6oc_eYus-T-Bj2uFFBh-Q

They left out the best image - one of a framed phrase:

"I told my therapist about you"

I think this apartment showcases personality and takes risks instead of looking like a page out of a catalogue. Kudos!

This place is a vivacious relief from the everyday prescribed apartment. The vibrant colors and patterns keep things interesting and fun! How can one not be happy in a place like this!?

I think the place looks vibrant and I like it! Her love for art is functional and I like how she incorporates personal keepsakes from her grandmother….far from trashy I think.
