Demi Lovato is close to settling on compensation with Alex Welch, the backup dancer that the Disney starlet punched in the face - an act that landed her in rehab.
"Alex is seeking a settlement, an apology from Demi and a donation made to a charity of her choice," Welch's lawyer, Donald Karpel, told RadarOnline.com.
Lovato has been in rehab since the incident, which PEOPLE described as a short, violent, one-sided assault.
Welch still hasn't received an apology from Lovato, and told Inside Edition that, "I don't want to force her to, but it would be nice. It would mean a lot."
