It's almost 2011, and--if the new year follows the pattern of the last few--Denver foodies have a lot to look forward to.

The city is crawling with great new restaurants and bars, many of which have developed loyal followings despite only being open for a brief time.

To celebrate the new year, and remember the culinary year that was 2010, we decided to take a look back to determine the hottest local restaurants the last 12 months. Yelp.com, a website that connects people with great local businesses, helped us out by pulling together a list of the hottest local restaurants of 2010 based on the number of people who have bookmarked the business, combined with average star rating, and total review count.

With all of the new restaurants in town, these ten will face stiff competition to retain their top-ten rankings next year.
