Royal Wedding Souvenirs: No T-Shirts, Aprons Or Tea-Towels

The UK is getting a lesson in royal memorabilia, with the Lord Chamberlain's office issuing guidelines for souvenirs from the royal wedding, the Telegraph UK reports.

So what's on the list? Well, for starters, all images of Prince William and Kate must be approved and the wording manufacturers must use is: "To Commemorate the Marriage of Prince William of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton, 29th April 2011."

Retailers cannot, we repeat, cannot produce tea-towels, aprons and t-shirts. No t-shirts? Is that a misprint? But they can make carpets, cushions, wall hangings and head scarves, so get ready to decorate your home and your head. The Telegraph adds, "Similarly, mugs, plates, trays, commemorative coins and other 'semi-indestructible' items are considered suitable souvenirs."

No souvenirs can be made after October 1, so you'd better stock up soon.
