WATCH: O'Reilly, Walters Spar About Oprah, Palin, 'Jersey Shore'

Barbara Walters went on "The O'Reilly Factor" on Thursday to promote her latest television specials, and Bill O'Reilly asked her about the moment everyone was talking about during her interview with Oprah, when Oprah addressed the rumors that she was gay.

"Do you think it was an appropriate question to ask her about that stuff?" O'Reilly said. Walters said that she did, becasue Oprah had nothing to hide.

"If you were trying to keep [your sexuality] a secret, Bill, I wouldn't ask you," she said. "Promise."

"Am I gay?" O'Reilly said. "If I am, boy, I've been on the wrong track for all these years!" Still, he said, he wished that Walters "and all the other celebrity interviewers wouldn't ask these kinds of questions."

"That's what I am? A celebrity interviewer?" Walters said.

"No, I think you're a journalist, but you do a lot of celebrity interviews," O'Reilly said.

"So do you!" Walters shot back.

O'Reilly also talked to Walters about her "10 Most Fascinating People" special. He was skeptical that she actually found the cast of "Jersey Shore" fascinating, and said she'd only interviewed Sarah Palin because she is a token conservative -- something Walters strenuously denied.

"You didn't ask her if she was a lesbian, though, did you?" he said.

"It wasn't pertinent!" Walters said. "Stop giving me a hard time, Billy."
