Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the best Evil Queen of them all? Really, it's a tough decision: both Charlize Theron and Julia Roberts are in negotiations to star as the villain in new live action adaptations of 'Snow White,' according to Deadline.
Theron is in talks to play the queen in Universal's 'Snow White and the Huntsman,' which, according to an earlier Deadline story, is a retelling of the classic fairy tale that focuses on the huntsman that is charged with taking Snow White to the forest and killing her, but eventually becomes her mentor.
Roberts, on the other hand, is aiming to join a star-studded cast in 'The Brothers Grimm: Snow White,' a dark retelling of the classic. In fact, Pajiba reports that the producers of the film have worked on lining up Natalie Portman as an edgy version of Snow White.
As for Theron's flick, The Hollywood Reporter writes that it seems that after deliberating over such big names as Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning, the producers want to go with a more unknown - and perhaps foreign - actress to play the lead. Amongst the candidates? Riley Keough, Elvis's granddaughter.
