The past decade (2001- 2010) has been defined by style news stories that have jolted us, for better or worse, into the 21st century. From the tragic death of Alexander McQueen to complaints about too-skinny models on runways, it has been an era for significant style news.

the september issue is a great movie. however, to say that it "pulls the curtain back on vogue", is misleading. anna wintour had final say over the edit of the film and what filmmakers could film and what they could not. the story of the decade is without a doubt the tragic loss of mr. mcqueen.

The goth subculture and how it influenced the style of dress of:

Men AND Women (very few trends can say that)
the makeup these people wear (usually dark eyeliner and deep red lipstick for women)
the jewellery they wear
the other fashion trends it influenced and spawned like vintage and Emo

Very few trends have influenced jewellery, makeup, and clothing for men and women.

One has gothic jewellery, gothic makeup, gothic clothes.

Alexander McQueen has to be the most tragic style story of the decade. That man was such a talent, I still cant believe he's gone. Nobody before him, and nobody after him.
