Dakota Fanning In, Taylor Momsen Out At IMG Models

Two recent shake-ups at IMG Models: Dakota Fanning has appeared on IMG's Model Board, Nylon writes, while Taylor Momsen has split from the agency, Fashionista reports and a rep confirmed to HuffPost on Monday.

Dakota is the latest celeb to team up with the powerhouse, which also represents Julianne Moore, Liv Tyler, Alexis Bledel and Lauren Hutton.

Momsen first signed with the modeling agency two years ago, when she was 14. Among her gigs was scoring the cover of Teen Vogue's September 2009 issue.

The best thing for her would be if everyone just forgot she is out there. Then her agent can drop her and she can have a chance to do some thinking, maybe make a few wise choices about what she wants to be and where she's going in her life.

When it comes to modeling no one cares about rude and tacky. They dress and make you up to look like whatever they want. Brains and modeling don't normally go hand in hand, although there are exceptions.

Taylor Momsen is just going through a teen gothic phase. Just so happens she's famous as well. Her angsty gothic look doesn't suit the fashion company. Give her a little patience and she'll lighten up. I like her a lot.

Dakota Fanning is a beauty and congratulations to her. She do very well. Both are also actresses, so modeling isn't their primary occupation.

(Additionally Momsen does rock music. Some lighter music might suit her better, after her gothic phase passes. I still think she's an actress first.)

She's also a pain to work with and holds everyone up on set. Dakota has the benefit of having parents and a manager who care about her, not just the money she brings in. Taylor has Taylor and people who make money off of her. She never should've been allowed to become an emancipated minor. She clearly was not mature enough.

She's still really young; everyone has to go through their "awkward" stage, and as those stages go, I still think she's very lovely and likely to be even more so as she gets older.
