Terminal At Newark Airport Closed, Bomb Squad On The Scene

UPDATE:

The Port Authority has given the all clear to passengers at Terminal A after the FBI determined that the device that caused the alarm was actually a computer monitor emitting small amounts of radiation, which is normal for a device such as that, according to MSNBC.

The device in question was being shipped to the same destination as its owner, who was already airborne, according to WNBC's Jonathan Dienst.

PREVIOUSLY: Reuters is reporting that Terminal A at New Jersey's Newark Airport has been shut down to the public and a bomb squad is on the scene.

ABC News is reporting that a possible bomb was found behind a counter at American Airlines. No vehicle traffic has been allowed in or out of the terminal and the Essex County bomb squad is on the scene.
