Christmas with the Kranks was def funnier than the movie.

Yeah, I'd say so, too. Less forgettable anyway. The book the movie was based on is called "Skipping Christmas" by John Grisham.

My daughter loves 'Santa Responds' while my favorite is 'The Stupidest Angel'.

I agree, one of my favorites. Love Moore's dark humor. But I also love the David Sedaris book, too. Both of these are annual reads for me at holiday season.
