Jay-Z Buys Beyonce $350,000 Of Hermes Birkin Bags: Report

At least she'll have a place to keep her stuff.

It was a very merry Christmas for Beyonce, as husband Jay-Z bought her $350,000 worth of Birkin bags from Hermes, according to the New York Post. The rapper/mogul spent hours Friday in the brand's Manhattan store, shopping in a private room, a source told the paper.

You might think that price tag pales in comparison to the cool $2 million that Beyonce spent on a Bugatti Grand Sport for her husband's birthday earlier in December. However, in September, Jay bought Beyonce a $20 million private island off the shore of Florida.

There is absolutely no reason to have $350,000 worth of purses! Many might disagree but having a ridiculous amount of material possessions can weigh down your soul. Sometimes I look around at all my stuff and wish it would all disappear and everything I own can probably fit into their rolls royce.

I think it just goes to show that there is a such thing as having too much money. I agree that they earned the money and should be able to spend it however they like, but there also comes a point when you're just buying ridiculously overpriced $hit because you can. I mean, does a $100,000 purse really do something that the $6,000 purse can't? No, but when you have that kind of disposable cash you look for ways to spend it.

When Bey open that, school in NY, no one said wow that's great!!
You give and you enjoy life to fullness of your ability..
They are enjoying the fruits of their labor.

Worry about you and your house and how you would spend your millions if given the chance.

They are not going to be like a lot of you broke because you are taking care of everyone mommy, sister, brother.. ask Hammer, Tyson anyone who had millions and millions they are broke at a very young age.

It's a purse, made by the French company Hermes .....I think it was Martha Stewart who originally started the trend with the bag. Prices range from around $6000 to over $100,000....depending on material used , etc. I think they are ugly......but then beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I once spent 250.00 on a Hermes scarf but I had just won some $$ at a casino in Vegas and I wanted to spend it. That was back in the good ole' days when middle class Americans could actually take vacations.

martha stewart?!?! the bag is named for jane birkin, english actress and fashion muse. hermes created the bag because jane, a friend of the designer, could never keep all her things together in her purse. it's similar to the hermes kelly bag, named for princess grace kelly

I know it's their money, and they can spend it how they'd like, but I just really do not understand how someone can drop this kind of money on STUFF, and not help others. Maybe they do, and if that's the case, good for them. But sadly, a lot of celebrities spend thousands on outfits for their DOGS and won't even look at helping people.

May we realize what is important in life....and it surely isn't "stuff."

google: jay z and beyonce / charity and youll find dozens of organizations that that they are either participating in or helped build. and they are not alone many celebrities find a sense of pride in giving back, another part is simply guilt that they have so much and others dont. your argument is flawed because it implies that buying STUFF means no money for poor people. the truth is we live with in our means and i certainly dont begrudge wealth. more important what will you do today to help some one in need. you dont have to be rich help.

And to think I barely made $40.000 this year... But then again I'm still in the selective less than like 10% of the world population. I was born on "the rest" side and somehow sneaked into the Versailles gate. Though I'm light years from what JZ's making, without a doubt I'm taking all the advantages out of these imbalances (currency, income, etc.) between have's/ don't have's. Advantages like be able to cash in US dollars in my home country if you residing abroad (later the government suspended it, when more and more regular people started to go abroad to work.) Yeah a bit of dilemma here.

And this is why the Republicans are fighting so hard to keep tax cuts for the super-rich. I mean Jay and Beyonce deserve their enormous wealth, but I don't think a bit more (Clinton-era) in taxes is going. Jay-Z said himself that "unlike Hammer 30 million can't hurt me."

Body language and pictures say a 1000 words. Jazzy has the most desirable woman in the world, but he holds and hugs her like a buddy. I really don't recall any pictures where he holds Beyonce like she's his wife, his woman.

Word to the wise: Jennifer Aniston had the most desirable man in the world and spoke to him like a buddy (calling him Dude), and then came along sexy, sultry, lip-smacking Angeline Jolie calling Brad, Baby. Don't forget to nuture the relationship b/c there's a smooth operator who will!
