Bad Blake: was he good at least year's Oscars?

Given Jeff Bridges' ultra laid back persona, his demeanor on the stage that night, and, of course, his legendary starring turn as stoner The Dude in 'The Big Lebowski,' MTV host Josh Horowitz just had to ask: was the star high on something when he accepted his award for Best Actor at last year's Academy Awards?

I respect him as an actor but he just doesn't appeal to me. I think that some actors have a sort of mass popular appeal, but I think that for the most part, actors vary greatly from role to role and some just strike a nice personal connection with people so that in any role they enjoy them. For instance I have never disliked Matt Damon in a movie. Jeff Bridges doesn't quite do it for me. I was loved Renner in The Hurt Locker and was rooting for him all the while.
