Anne Hathaway: Jake Gyllenhaal And I Had 'Intellectual Orgy'

Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal rocked movie audiences by spending half their new film naked, but it was a different kind of intimacy that brought them together.

Speaking to reporters to promote their film, 'Love and Other Drugs,' Hathaway said that she and Gyllenhaal got close before filming. Real close.

"We talked about our own experiences with love and intimacy, about what turned us on and what didn't," The Daily Mirror reports her saying. "So it was completely open from the get-go. Jake described it as a kind of intellectual orgy and I think that sums it up best!"

Speaking of the racy scenes and difficult themes, Hathaway was unapologetic.

"This is a sophisticated look at adult love. It isn't a movie for teenagers. I don't think they would understand it."

See, it's things like this -- the fact that Jake is even capable of an "intellectual orgy" -- that makes me wonder why in the world he is dating someone like Taylor Swift, whose intellectual waters obviously don't run very deep.....as evidenced by her numerous interviews giggling how funny it was that she was dating the guy from Twilight because his name was also Taylor. Taylor and Taylor, gee, what sheer intellectual horsepower!

It's as bizarre as if Gwyneth Paltrow hooked up with any guy off the Jersey Shore. Or Brad Pitt and Paris Hilton. Or Adrien Brody and Kim Kardashian . Or Leonardi DiCaprio and Snooki. Any one of these couples would make more sense than Jake and Taylor Swift.

They're both really hyping up the sex in this movie. It wasn't that much, mostly the characters naked in bed talking before and after sex. That's it.
