NEW YORK -- Two massage therapists say in a lawsuit that complaining about sexually suggestive text messages from Brett Favre cost them their part-time jobs with the New York Jets.

Christina Scavo and Shannon O'Toole sued the Minnesota Vikings quarterback, the Jets and a Jets massage coordinator Monday in a Manhattan court. The lawsuit comes days after the NFL fined Favre $50,000 for not being candid in an investigation into allegations that he sent lewd text messages and photos to a Jets game hostess.

Favre's agent didn't immediately return a telephone call. The Jets declined to comment.

The lawsuit says Favre send a third, unidentified massage therapist a 2008 text message asking whether she and Scavo "want to get together" and suggesting he had "bad intentions."

Wait..What?? Whos this Brett Favre guy??

I understand them suing the Jets, who allegedly fired them when they allegedly complained. But if Favre texted somebody else, not them, the "harassment" seems a little attenuated, IMO.

I hear is is going to move in with Tiger Woods.

Larry Flynt once said that sexual harassment is "sleep with me or you're fired. Anything other than that is just trying to get laid."

He has a point.

And the race is on,which money grabbing wh@&% can finish first. If you think this is anything more than that I got a bridge to sell. I am not saying he didnt do nothing but if you were so offended why wait so long. They see their chance and are trying to get some dollars end of story. As a woman they make me sick.

F&F - the economy started nose-diving then as well - why not blame Favre instead and cash in? Blecch. I have zero tolerance for liars.

Apparently neither does the NFL who fined Favre already.

He should have stayed retired after leaving GB. He certainly didn't need the money. He has tarnished his legacy.

I know a lot of married couples that wouldn't exist unless one person didn't "harass" the other at work.

As I wondered in the Clinton/Paula Jones case, what's the problem here? I thought that you were supposed to ask first, and if she says no, you move on.

Then people should start blaming the Jets and stop blaming Favvvvre, as much as I detest him.

They waited too long.
Tell him off for starters, don't lead him on with a maybe.
File a complaint with the police and the authorities
in the organization right away.
Get a lawyer within a short time, they are all over the
TV with offers to get you what you deserve.
This sounds like a money grab.
He may be a crass man and a cad but it takes two to party.

Massage is a righteous and beneficial practice. Don't blame the masseuses because hookers have moved into their territory. That would be like calling Bankers thieves and con men, or Politicians bribe takers.

First and foremost, Brett's not innocent. This is not to say the women were not culpable, but as a married man and a professional athlete, he understands what happens when lewd information becomes public (i.e. Kobe, Big Ben, Tiger, Coach Ryan, etc.). Now we may question why the ladies took so long to come forward, but the truth is we don't if they tried to handle the matter privately. However what is clear is that you can't play with fire and not get burned once in a while.

How can you equate Rex Ryan's consensual hijinks with his own wife to Kobe and Rothlesberger raping women?

Hmm...you're right. My point was that personal situations can get blown out of proportion, especially lewd behavior, violence, drugs and gambling. That said, Kobe nor Ben was not found guilty of rape, but I completely understand your point and I stand corrected. Thanks.
