St. Louis Team Wins Beer Pong World Series (VIDEO)

A St. Louis-area team was crowned with the ultimate college honor this week: World Champions of Beer Pong.

The team, who call themselves Standing Ovation, beat 507 teams from 9 countries to claim the $50,000 grand prize in the World Series of Beer Pong.

Entrants, who paid $1,110 to participate in the finals, convened in Las Vegas.

While it's impressive they beat 507 teams. However, judging by the clips that are on huffpost, they lean over the table A LOT.

Beer pong is a drinking game. However, winning a beer pong game generally requires the victors to drink less than their opponents. Furthermore, if you are so awesome at playing beer pong that you can win a competition over 500 other teams, you are probably not drinking very much at all. All this St. Louis team truly proved was that they are the best at not drinking while playing drinking games. I hardly see the point.

somehow I don't think it's fair that they interviewed the winners right after the contest :p
