I just have to have my coffee. Goodness, I will do the teeth whitening process.

...while very yellow teeth are unattractive, I suspect that teeth aren't naturally white--they're more of a pearl color. (The blue white teeth on television look bizarre in my opinion, but perhaps that's just me. :o)

That hyper-white bleached teeth thing is just plain freaky. I have very 'white' teeth but they ain't that white!

It does look unnatural.  White is okay but that white and especially on old people, scary!

I recall when dentists took great care to match the natural shades of white when doing patient's dental work or even making false teeth. They never made the teeth brilliant white. That has all changed sadly. The super white teeth are as ridiculous looking as the fake breasts. I hope this fad ends soon.

My teeth have been discolored cause of my abundant love for hot tea. I used to have very white teeth, but after drinking a few cups of tea every day, my teeth turned yellow. With the help of a flouride the doctor gave me to use daily.

Luckily teeth whitening has removed some of the discoloration, but they are no where near as white as they were last year unfortunately. :(

This article treats fluoride like it's just a little staining, however, dental fluorosis is a serious indicator of health damage to ALL bones. Fluoride is a toxin and should not be in anything we eat ot drink. Europe stopped this archaic practice over a decade ago because of the harm to human health. Read "The Fluoride Deception" by Chris Bryson to learn how and why this stupid practice started.

But here it is the complete opposite.  Dentists push fluoride and they quote all kind of misinformation though the effects of fluoride are published on line and one only needs to look them up.  We have too much fluoride in our water already and we have a healthcare that does not even take care of millions of people.  Just does not make sense.

Interesting article. I've actually been worried about my dental health recently. I had braces for eight years as a kid so I have little white spots on my teeth unfortunately. I tried doing some teeth whitening, but that didn't seem to work. I'm thinking of getting some lumineers before I go to college, but it's just really upsetting. I thought it was interesting how using too much fluoride can hurt your teeth. Another thing that I thought was interesting was where you talked about coffee. I forgot about that one. As a general rule, I try to brush my teeth at least twice a day, but I've been having a difficult time remembering to floss. My dad buys those little flosser toothpick things, I forgot what they're called. Dental health is an aspect of health that a lot of people neglect. It's like anything with health, let's fix the problem after it happens instead of trying to prevent it. That's why we see so many people signing up for teeth whitening! I guess I'm guilty too, but I had braces for 8 years so I have an excuse! I wrote an article on my health blog with some tips for dental health, maybe it will help you.
