Hot On HuffPost Health: Fraudulent Autism-Vaccine Story Explained (Original Video)

WATCH: Latest Autism News Explained By Huffington Post Senior Health Editor

Senior Health Editor Alana B. Elias Kornfeld discusses the story that's hot on HuffPost Health. The story that's making waves is the recent report published by the British Journal BMJ, which further discredits Dr. Andrew Wakefield's research linking autism and vaccines. BMJ went as far as to call Wakefield's research, which was the first study to successfully link autism to the MMR vaccine, fraudulent. It accuses Wakefield not only of bad science, but also of doctoring the medical records of the 12 children the study is based on. Wakefield's study was originally published in the Lancet in 1998 and was retracted by the British journal last year.
