Camille Grammer: Husband Kelsey Made Me Do 'Real Housewives' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Camille Grammer: Kelsey Made Me Do 'Real Housewives'

Now that she's leaving 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,' and getting divorced from husband Kelsey, Camille Grammer can tell the truth: she never wanted to do the show at all.

Grammer sits down -- and pedals -- with Ellen Degeneres on her exercised themed Friday show, telling the host that she was reluctant to star on the reality show, and only did it at the behest of her soon-to-be ex-husband.

"Why did I do it? Kelsey wanted me to do it... I didn't want to do the show. I wasn't ready to expose my life that way. We've been a private couple for a long time and I had seen you a couple times at awards shows and stuff like that but for the most part, we kept to ourselves. I was surprised that he wanted me to do to it too. I was like, "Are you crazy? Why are you making me do this?" But he thought it would be good for me to do something that was separate from us being a couple. This is something that was my own thing."

As it turned out, it wasn't very productive for Grammer -- her reputation took a major hit, and hurt her feelings. "Oh, they're saying awful things about me and it's very hurtful," she tells Ellen.

And what they're saying doesn't compare to what they're showing -- her former co-stars are passing around stills from a mid-90's soft-core porn film that Grammer appeared in.

For much more, tune into 'The Ellen Degeneres Show' on Friday.
