TBILISI, Georgia (AP) — A cow in Georgia has given birth to a two-headed calf.

Farmer Irakli Dzhgarkava, shown with the calf on Imedi television, says the cow is refusing to allow her strange offspring to suckle, so they are giving it milk from a bottle.

He says the calf eats with both heads.

Friday's television report says people have been coming to the village of Martvili to see the grayish-brown calf since it was born Jan. 2.

The village is located in western Georgia, about 280 kilometers (170 miles) from the capital, Tbilisi.

First I read about 14 headless bodies found in Mexico, and now here's a cow with two heads!

The twins have almost complete fusion of their bodies. Craniofacial duplication or diprosopus is an uncommon form of fusion of the twin. This phenomenon is rare but it has been occurring around the world

I have seen calves born with 5 legs, 3 ears, 2 mouths, 4 eyes etc... it's not that uncommon. Usually they are destroyed shortly after birth so you don't hear about it. They are always rejected by their dam and sometimes the other cows attack them. Sad but true.

1) I feel extreme sympathy for the calf.

2) The mother should be ashamed of herself.

3) Good luck trying to find a Snuggie that will accomodate the double heads.

I hope it's not in any way suffering.  I noticed when they were feeding the one, the other made mouth movements like it was eating.  Do they share a brain?  I don't think that these kinds of births end up growing to adult hood and hope that it's taken care of the best they can.

Poor calf. Hard time for both - the calf and the owner.

They should put the poor thing out of its misery.

I wonder if the mother of the Siamese twin girls who have two heads and shoulders attached to one torso would think that was the best answer. BTW there is nothing to say that this baby is suffering in anyway, so exactly what misery are we talking here.

It is very likely a very incomplete twinning process further on in the process it would have been Siamese twins.

What did one head say to the other at feeding time.

"Hey, moooooove over - stop being a hog.
