Oscar and Grammy Award winner Jennifer Hudson will headline a fundraiser for Emanuel Monday night at the House of Blues. The South Side native reportedly "offered to help out" with the campaign after meeting Emanuel at the White House last year, NBC Chicago reports.
The fundraiser was organized by former White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers and is already sold out. NBC reports that it is expected to bring in up to $100,000 for the campaign.
