Car Advertising Behind Magazine Recovery

Indeed, it was a 22 percent surge in automotive advertising revenue that helped the consumer magazine industry claim its first full-year revenue increase since 2007, according to the Publishers Information Bureau (PIB). The industry group released its data for 2010 on Monday, and reported that among magazine advertisers, General Motors was the biggest spender.
