Gery Chico Mayoral Campaign Steps Up TV Ad Game With Two New Spots (VIDEO)

WATCH: Chico Releases New TV Ads On Jobs, Education

Gery Chico is now the third candidate for Chicago mayor to buy TV air time, and he's come out with the full-court press in the last two days.

On Sunday, Chico won the endorsement of U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez, and immediately released a Spanish-language TV ad with the popular congressman singing his praises.

Today, the Chico campaign announced the purchase of two more 30-second spots, for which the campaign bought 1500 broadcast points of airtime.

The first spot, "Model," focuses on Chico's background in education, specifically his six-year term as school board president. The second, "Embrace," features footage of Chico speaking to a group of assembled supporters about his ideas for job creation.

Rahm Emanuel has run several TV advertisements already; Patricia Watkins has also run a 30-second spot on cable networks.
