Antonio Cromartie: Tom Brady's 'An Asshole'

UPDATE: Tom Brady responded to Antonio Cromartie's comments today. "I've been called worse," Brady said. "There's a long list of people that feel that way."

Last week, New York Jets coach Rex Ryan took shots at Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and ripped his study habits. On Tuesday, Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie backed up his coach and insulted his Sunday opponent.

Cromartie told Gary Myers of the New York Daily News that Brady is "an asshole" when asked about what kind of guy he is.

He also said that he hates Brady and claimed that he pointed to the Jets sideline after throwing a touchdown pass in New England's 45-3 blowout over the Jets on Dec. 6

"We see that a lot. He does it a lot," Cromartie said. "That's the kind of guy he is. We really don't give a damn, to tell you the truth."

Ryan jabbed Brady while praising Peyton Manning, claiming that the Patriots quarterback "thinks" he studies like the Colts star.

Cromartie used more profanity in his rant:

"That's what I think about him. I don't really give a damn about him," he said. "I don't have to play against him. I play against the receivers."

Well, Brady is the one throwing to those receivers. "Yeah, but if I beat the s--- out of his receivers, he can't throw the ball," Cromartie said.

New York is having a bad year. The Yankees lost, the Giants didn't even make the playoffs, the Knicks are....well, they're still the Knicks and the Jets are turning into the Big Apple Circus. Meanwhile, over in Mass., the Sox stifled the Yanks at the mid-winter trade meeting, the Celtics are red hot and the quiet, industrious Patriots have taken a team of nobodies and rookies and once again finished the season at the top of the AFC east, where the pre-season talk was all about the Jets. Face it New York, in sports, as in snow plowing, you're just not getting it done.

Brady is not classy. When the Chargers beat them at home ending the Pats winning streak at home, can't remember the exact year-Brees was still with SD, Brady walked off the field without shaking hands. Drew stated he looked for him but the cameras showed Brady leaving the field. When the Colts beat them in the championship game, Brady walked off the field again-no hand shake. He may be a great QB, but no class.

Brady, Welker and Branch made Cromartie look like a high school player last time. It will be interesting to see what Tom does to him this weekend.
Remember what Tom did to the Steeler cornerback who was shooting his mouth off three years ago in the playoffs.

I really like Boston, the city that is, have been there many times and it's a great place... but I can't stand the Patriots almost as much as the Cowboys and that's saying a lot. I'm from NY and a Giants fan. I hope the Jets win but a little advice to Gang Green. Don't talk the talk because you ain't never walked the walk. It makes you look foolish and it plays right into New Englands hands. If the Jets win, it will be thier biggest win since '69. If the Patriots win, it certainly wont be thier biggest, not even close. If the Jets loose, it will be thier most hurtful loss, of this season. If the Patriots loose, it wont be thier biggest loss, not even close, that honor will forever belong to the Giants.
