Scott Fujita Calls Jerry Jones' Lockout Comments 'Irresponsible'

Browns Linebacker Rips Jerry Jones

In an interview on 60 Minutes that CBS inexplicably didn't air, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that he does not think a lockout would be disastrous for the NFL.

During a conference call arranged by the NFLPA on Tuesday, Browns linebacker and member of its Executive Committee Scott Fujita called out Jones and ripped him for his comments.

"For him to say something like that, to me, is one of the more irresponsible things I've heard through this whole process," Fujita said. "Unfortunately that's just where it's at."

He also said some owners, including Jones, might not be unified and "are fine with letting this thing run down to at least the 11th hour and try to squeeze the players into accepting a deal that's not fair to us."

The 31-year-old went on to say that a lockout "certainly looks" inevitable.
