A Spring Valley, New York, family was mistakenly displaced from their house early Thursday morning after a troop of armed officers looking for drugs reportedly entered their house, pointed a gun at their 13-year-old daughter, threatened to shoot their dog, and then forced them to wait outside while they scoured the house.

"They pulled me outside in the freezing cold in my underwear, manhandle my wife, point a gun at my daughter and they won't even tell me what they are doing in my house," David McKay, father of the family, told The Journal News. "It was terrifying and humiliating beyond belief."

The Journal News reports that McKay was later forced to bring his daughter to a local hospital after she suffered an asthma attack during the tense incident.

According to Reason, the botched drug bust "was part of a broad joint federal/local drug sweep for pot involving more than 200 cops from at least 13 different government agencies."

No knock warrants, and the more recent "Good Faith Exemption" to the 4th amendment, where an officer does not even need a warrant to kick down a door if he "believes in good faith" that a crime is being committed in your house, have been brought to you by the GOP's "War on Drugs".

Now through the "Patriot Act" and TSA they have brought you more "Exclusions" to your rights so they can fight the GOP's "War on Terror".

In the Declaration of Independence the founders deemed these rights to be unalienable, which by definition means "Not to be separated, given away, or taken away; inalienable:"

The government never was given the power to take them away and anyone that agrees to give them up is as guilty as the government is for taking them.

Step up America, and try to live with the freedoms many good men and women have died to secure for you, rather than run and hide any time the politicians try to scare you into giving up.

I thought the goons had to show a warrant. What gives?

The Bush/Cheney era mentality of totalitarianism is okay if you're defending 'freedom' apparently is what gives.Time to flush that stuff out of the system.

These police thugs like the power rush this sort of action gives them, and as a group, they desperately want to continue the drug war because half of them would be laid off without it.

Nothing new about this. Cops' attitude too often is, "who're you gonna call? the cops? ha ha ha!" Unless you are rich and can afford a lawyer to sue them, or unless you have connections in high places, they operate with impunity, with callous disregard for their victims.

August 15, 2007 (Case # 2007-CM-951) An illegal drug raid was conducted at by, S.L.A.N.T. State Line Area Narcotics Team. Illinois State Police, Andrew Schroeder #6969. Scott Ellefson #9710. Meiborg #3121. Lehman #3296. Gately #9779. Jerry #9837. Madigan #9699. Via a dirty search warrant, issued by Stephenson County Judge, James Hauser. Signed in extreme conflict of interest, as Judge and as Witness. A misleading and fraudulent information affidavit submitted by, the pathological lies of Andrew Schroeder and Scott Ellefson. During the course of the raid. In addition to acts of armed domestic terrorism. There were numerous acts of cheap vandalism committed against the property. My then 9 year old daughter, while sleeping in her bedroom, had the misfortune; of a cop, dressed in black. Shine’s a flashlight into her eyes at close range and with a pistol pointed at her face. Screamed at her shocking her out of a sound sleep! One of the cops is caught by the child with a pair of her soiled pantys upto his face. She been hospitalized repeatedly over what they did to her.

This inconsiderate act of unconscionable conduct has had a damaging and profound life long psychological impact upon my child

I saw an article saying police getting shot is up 30%. I wonder if there's some correlation.
