The folks at Neatorama stumbled upon a video of quite possibly the coolest snowboarding trick ever attempted. Upon first glance, it seems our hero may flail in the air and fall, but he sneakily delivers an unexpected and dazzling finish. No fancy Flying Tomato twists and twirls and triple-flips, just ten seconds of pure and simple snow-topped brilliance.

the video was real, and from a snowboarder's perspective, it was pretty damn cool! if you look closely at his feet, he wasn't strapped in to the board when he took off the ramp, released the board when he did a somersault in the air, then landed on another board already set up at the landing site. the unstrapped flip was pretty cool in itself, but to hit the second board perfectly so he can go on and slide away was friggin' unreal!! don't know how many tries it took before he nailed this, but i agree with the huff po headline, it might just be the coolest snowboarding trick EVER!!!!!

It is a video but it is not a video of a real trick. It's edited to looks if it was a real trick.It is in fact a pretty good editing job.

It would take less time to learn and land the trick than it would to edit the video. It's a simple flip. If your a snowboarder comfortable with the flip, and you're determined enough to try it 50 times, one of them will probably land right.

ONE DAY, like I always plead...ONE DAY, HP, you will take the sports section seriously, and ONE DAY, HP, people will come to your site to actually read REAL sports stories.

Well did you watch it through once? Twice? Thrice? I'm not doubting you did. Yet you didn't think the landing time on Stian's rodeo was slightly accelerated compared to the two jumps before it? What about starting at 14:18 and hitting play/pause rapidly through to 14:26, and then taking notice to the fact his stance stays the same through the whole inversion. Some one else even made the comment about always riding with two Identical boards that wasn't what threw on the "falsehood" trail but the fact that he landed directly back in is bindings riding fakie, where if he was really going to try and switch boards mid trick the easiest thing to do would be land standard.
Then if you went to actionhorse's actual website not just the link to the video. they claim and show it's falsehood.
