I am starting to suspect that the unexplainable amount of hoopla The Social Network (essentially a well-made TV movie) has received is the direct result of Kevin Spacey and Aaron Sorking, whose Hollywood social networks are presumably rather wide, being involved.

Melissa Leo is a consistently superior actress, and certainly has deserved much more recognition than has come her way over the years.
I am thrilled for Katey Sagal for her role in Sons of Anarchy. Great series. Fantastic performance.

And the fact that godawful actors Matthew Morrison (great on the stage, lousy on camera) and Scott Caan received nominations was an absolute joke.

I have a nice, mild crush on Kevin Spacey.
Haven't seen "The Social Network" that he helped produced but I'll try, even though he's not in it. :)

Christian Bale is gorgeous and talented. Great combination.

I teared up when Chris Colfer won for Glee and gave such a great acceptance speech. His inspiring words to kids who are different was poignant.

The signed Ricky Gervais to host, they got him to host, he hosted. . . . . . . they got what the signed for, Ricky Gervais.

Think about it, years ago if they had signed George Carlin (he would have never signed), what would they have expected? Several years ago the Oscars signed Letterman, what did they expect? Better yet, think about Don Rickels, for those of you old enough to know him, he would have sliced and diced them.

Ricky was Ricky, they got what they signed for.

I haven't seen the show, but I was happy for Katey Sagal winning a Golden Globe. She is a talented women who has been in the business since her days with Bette Midler.

I'm right there, Jay. SOA is one of the best unnoticed series in the history of television.

I was especially impressed the '09 season with Adam Arkin and Henry Rollins playing such despicable characters.

Right on--maybe not my #1 favorite show on television, but easily the most underrated and least noticed. Wonderful drama--hope to see it go 5+ seasons for sure.
