Brett Favre On Packers: 'I Think They Will Win It All'

Favre Likes Packers' Chances

Brett Favre told Ed Werder of ESPN in an e-mail on Monday that he thinks his old team is "by far" the best team left in the playoffs.

"[Packers QB] Aaron [Rodgers] is the best QB and the receiving corps is the best ever, maybe," Favre said. "But [defensive coordinator] Dom [Capers] and the defense gets the MVP award at this stage."

Favre, who filed his retirement papers on Monday, also said that there is no bitterness between him and the Green Bay organization and that he thinks the Packers "will win it all."

"I hope they do, if you're wondering," the 41-year-old said in the e-mail.

The legendary quarterback filed his retirement papers for the first time after his final season with the Packers in 2008, but decided he wanted to play a year later and was traded to the New York Jets.

After retiring in 2009, he returned the following year and led the Minnesota Vikings to the NFC championship game.
