British Airways Strike Could Interrupt Easter & Royal Wedding Travel

BA To Strike In Time For The Royal Wedding

British Airways cabin crew voted overwhelmingly on Friday to strike, according to the BBC. The union voted to strike in protest of the withdrawal of travel perks for union members who went on strike last year.

The vote, which came in at a whopping 5,751 to 1,579, could disrupt travel plans around the Easter holiday (not to mention the royal wedding), according to the Daily Mail. It's unfortunate timing for travelers, not to mention the airline, which promoted a royal wedding package in November, with prices starting at $865 for a four-day London getaway.

In other BA news, the airline is formally merging with Iberia on Friday, thus creating Europe's third biggest airline.
