Haiti is 80% Catholic so I guess American catholics are paying taxes to convert Haitian catholics to Protestantism.
The RCs would pull the same trick if they got the chance. It will all be different if a non-christian like Romney gets in.

Once I saw Mama Grifty there I knew something crooked was happening. I gave money, not much, thank goodness, to the effort but will never do so again. There are too many hands in the very profitable pot. Too bad for the innocent people of Haiti -- they have been pillaged by crooks and liars all their lives and even in this very sad moment, it is happening again. With Papa Doc returning, you know he smells big bucks and wants to get his hands on his share -- Franklin Graham is no different from the shameful dictator -- they are one and the same. The whole article is disgusting. Next donation and all future ones will go to animal rescues in my local area. At least that little bit will be spent as expected.

Let me see now. A nation full of destitute, homeless, starving people, suffering from all kinds of disease with little help or hope for a better tomorrow.

Up walks a person with some food and a bible. The starving person who already has his/her own belief and religion is asked are you hungry. The answer is obviously yes I am. The person with the bible then says before I give you this food you must first forget everything you have ever been taught. You must believe in a new God and accept a new religion. If not I will leave you and your family here to starve.

The starving person accepts the offer and now another culture and all of the things we could have learned from it and all it could offer the world vanishes overnight. It is replaced by this hideous plague that has suppressed people all over the world since it began.

It is important that this story is made public. Thank you Huffpo and the AWL. Education is a wonderful thing. The deliberate dumbing-down by cable news and vitriolic radio ranting by the misbegotten minions of greed is disheartening and distracts from news that affects others--we are supporting initiatives that we would not had we known about without good journalism. That being said:

Many Christians, IMO, are ashamed of these kinds of perversion of Christianity that profits off the misery of the poor and destitute. Haiti has suffered greatly at the hands of true tyrants since colonial times and now this.

Franklin Graham is the christian dominionis­t connection to Sarah Palin. He has a retreat in Alaska that has been active in politics and control for a while. His views probably differ greatly from his dad, Billy Graham.

For Franklin, it seems more about greed within the GOPT corrupted free market capitalism AND corporate personhood­. This is bad for us and bad for Haitians.

Grifting for gold in the name of God is blasphemou­s. Shame on the liars who lie, including those that know that they are lying because it appears that the means justifies the end.

Lord, have mercy on us all.

I remember reading a long time ago that his father did not respect him at all, and was at a loss as to who would succeed him. This is the first time Billy Graham pooped on an inauguration, and his son has called our President a Muslim. He is putting a lot of money behind Sarah Palin---he, Bill Clinton, Bush, etc., are the soucouyants and loup garou of Haitian children's nightmares. This is an image of slavery times--Let me tell you something about Haitians though, when they have had enough--one word-DESHOCAJE!

Fantastic story. i wish he would've said more about Monsanto. Those seeds are genetically modified with Roundup weedkiller. and they haven't been tested on humans and in animals they caused horrible diseases , reproductive deformities. Bushco threatened France and Europe with retaliation if they did not buy the seeds. All corn, high fructose corn syrup, corn oil, cottonseed oil, canola oil, soybean oil is GM. and it is in almost EVERYTHING you eat. our govt. DOES NOT ALLOW it to be labeled on our food ! Monsanto is trying to own the world's food supply with political help. Read labels and do not eat their crap.
